03 Feb., 16 RISE was presented at the SEW event in Nicosia, which was hosted at the Famagusta Gate, the major Municipal Cultural Centre, on February 1st 2016. The Mayor of Nicosia addressed the event and informed participants of the Nicosia Municipality’s plans to create a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in the centre of the city and placed RISE at the heart of these plans. Members of the RISE team had the opportunity to present the project and demonstration projects at the RISE booth, to liaise with start ups and other actors of the innovation ecosystem and to invite them to submit ideas, needs and cooperation expectations as input to the process of developing the RISE Business Plan. The SEW event in Nicosia was organised collaboratively by group of actors promoting the development of the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in Cyprus, including the Municipality of Nicosia . It was attended by about 200 members of the start up community and public and private sector actors of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem of Cyprus.
