Executive Civil Engineer - Urban Planner and Conservation Expert Agni Petridou (female) is the Executive Civil engineer of Nicosia Municipality. She graduated from Florence University - School of Architecture. Her diploma thesis was “Diploma di Laurea in Architettura”. She holds an MA in “Specialization for the Study and Restoration of Monuments and sites” from the University of Rome. She also holds an MA in Town and Country Planning, University of West of England, Bristol, UK. She is the Director of the Technical Services of the Nicosia Municipality. She is in charge of the following sectors: Planning and Building Permissions, constructions Sector, Traffic and Transportation, Nicosia Master Plandevelopment projects and the Gardens Department. She is the Senior Architect to the Nicosia Municipality since 1981 and the Team Leader of the Nicosia Master Plan Team since 1990.She is a member of the Scientific Council of “Europa Nostra”, and of the Central Committee of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus. She is also a member of The National Committee of The International Council on Monuments and Sites ICOMOS and of the Team of Experts of the Priority Action Program of UNEP.
