General Manager of the Cluster of Excellence on Multimodal Computing and Interaction (MMCI) in Saarbrücken, Germany

Before Kristina turned General Manager of the MMCI, she received her Master in computer science from Saarland University and a Diploma from Stuttgart Media University. She then went on to pursue her PhD studies in computer science at Saarland University within the Max-Planck-Institute for Informatics in Saarbrücken. During her studies, Kristina won the 2004 EUROGRAPHICS best paper award (1st prize) and the second prize of the 2011 RTT Emerging
Technology Contest.

Having finished her PhD in the area of computer vision and computer graphics, Kristina has profound knowledge of many research topics within the MMCI and brings along the understanding of all the organizational issues that may arise from performing cutting edge research in a very active and high performing international field.

As General Manager, Kristina is in charge of the institute's administration, planning and implementation of financial roadmaps and budget. Kristina is responsible for all national and international hiring processes within in the cluster, reports to the scientific board and is a member of the MMCI board and strategic committee.
