Efstathios Stavrakis is currently the Scientific and Technical Consultant for RISE at the Nicosia Municipality. He holds a BA in Creative Visualisation and an MSc in Computer-Aided Graphical Technology Applications from the University of Teesside (UK) and a PhD in Computer Science from the Vienna University of Technology (Austria). He has worked as a post-doctoral scientist at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis (FR), the Glasgow School of Art (UK), Frederick University (CY) and the Cyprus Institute (CY). He has also been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Cyprus (CY). He is actively involved in research across multiple areas related to Interactive Media (Google Scholar) and has 15 years of working experience in a wide range of research and development projects.
